Rules & Regulations

CSI Public School – CBSE follows a disciplined, value-based environment to ensure safety, academic progress, and moral growth of every student. All students and parents are expected to follow the school rules to maintain order, respect, and excellence in the campus.

General School Rules

  • Every student must carry the School Handbook / Calendar to school every day.
  • Students must arrive to school on time—“Late in Time, Late in Life” is the school’s guiding principle.
  • Students must maintain cleanliness in body and dress. A neat, complete uniform is compulsory.
  • Students should take care of school property. Any damage to buildings, furniture, or equipment will invite penalties.
  • Students must take responsibility for their books, bags, and personal belongings.
  • Wearing costly ornaments or bringing valuables to school is strictly discouraged. The school is not responsible for any loss.
  • Running, shouting, or causing disturbance in corridors and classrooms is strictly prohibited.
  • Only English should be spoken within the school premises to promote communication skills.
  • Students must avoid scribbling on walls or furniture. Waste must be disposed of only in dustbins.
  • No outsiders are permitted to meet students or teachers during school hours without prior permission.
  • Students must maintain good behavior and respect all staff.
  • Students must be inside classrooms before the bell rings and should not loiter on campus.
  • Progress reports issued after exams must be signed by parents and returned promptly.
  • Promotions are based on overall performance, including attendance, discipline, and exam results.

Attendance & Leave

  • Regular attendance is mandatory for academic progress.
  • A minimum attendance requirement (as per CBSE norms) must be met for promotion.
  • Leave will be granted only for valid reasons, and requests must be sent through a written leave application.
  • Oral messages or WhatsApp requests for leave will not be accepted.
  • Students returning after illness must submit a medical certificate.
  • Prior permission is required for planned long leave or absence.
  • Repeated absence without valid reason may result in disciplinary action.

Code of Conduct

CSI Public School promotes discipline, manners, and respect. Students are expected to follow the following code:

Behaviour Standards

  • Always show respect towards teachers, staff, and peers.
  • Maintain polite language and dignified behavior.
  • Practice honesty in academics and conduct.
  • Avoid misbehaviour, cheating, bullying, or abusive language.

Classroom Conduct

  • Be attentive and participate positively.
  • Complete classwork and homework on time.
  • Use school property with care.
  • Seek permission before leaving the classroom.

Appearance & Grooming

  • Come neatly dressed in full school uniform.
  • Maintain short, tidy hairstyles (boys) and neat braided hairstyles (girls).
  • No fancy accessories, hair colours, or inappropriate attire are allowed.

Digital Etiquette

Mobile phones, smartwatches, or electronic gadgets are strictly prohibited, unless permitted for academic use.

Discipline Guidelines

  • Irregular attendance, repeated violations, lack of respect, or disobedience will result in disciplinary action.
  • Any act of:
    Cheating
    Using abusive words
    Damage to school property
    Violence or bullying
    Stealing
    is considered a serious offence.
  • Students may be suspended or dismissed for misconduct harmful to the school’s reputation.
  • Parents must cooperate with the school in addressing behavioural issues.
  • Students must represent the school with dignity during events, competitions, or outings.
  • Misconduct outside the school that affects the school’s image may also invite disciplinary action.

Parent Responsibilities

Parents play a vital role in the child’s education. The school expects complete cooperation from parents in the following areas:

Support the School Rules

  • Kindly abide by all school rules and policies.
  • Ensure your child maintains good discipline at home and in school.

Supervise Your Child’s Learning

  • Monitor homework, class notes, and school communication.
  • Encourage a regular study routine and discipline.
  • Ensure your child attends school regularly in neat uniform.

Maintain Daily Communication

  • Check the SkoolBeep App and student handbook every day for updates & assignments.
  • Respond promptly to messages and notices.

Attend Meetings & Discussions

  • Meet the Principal/class teacher at least once a month to review your child’s progress.
  • Attend all Parent–Teacher Meetings (PTMs).

Encourage Good Manners & Values

  • Teach your child kindness, respect, honesty, and responsibility.
  • Support the school’s efforts in character formation.
